At Tangletown CrossFit we have programs for all fitness levels, ages, and needs. While all have functional movements at their core, some have an emphasis on things like Endurance, Olympic Weightlifting, or Swimming. Check the schedule for class times.

Tangletown Teen Summer Strength Camp - ages 12-18

Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30am-11:30am with Coach Liam Easter
Starts June 11th and runs through August 15th, 2019 (19 sessions)

Members register HERE - $190 for the entire summer
Non-members register HERE - $210 for the entire summer

Tangletown Teen Summer Strength Camp is built around dynamic strength movements to target common imbalances that sports programs create. The focus of our program is to build efficient movement patterns which reduces sports related injuries and creates a more powerful athlete. Our program will increase physical competence in 10 fitness domains: Cardiovascular and Respiratory Endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy. In addition, we aim to boost self-esteem and confidence within our teens. We want to give them the strength, both physically and mentally, to tackle any obstacle thrown their way inside or out of the gym. With workouts that are scalable for all individuals, Tangletown Teen Summer Strength Camp can equally benefit both the accomplished athlete as well as the less active individual.

We want the teens in our program to develop a positive body image, improve cognitive function, protect them against injury by teaching proper body mechanics, and create a community of like-minded, confident individuals that can turn to one another for support. CrossFit not only teaches one how to work out, it teaches one the essence of focus, perseverance, dedication, and motivation. Our teen program makes kids healthy and fit. It not only builds strength in the body but it also strengthens the mind.

CrossFit WOD

The Workout of the Day (WOD) is the ever changing program we offer daily. CrossFit is constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity. Our classes range in modality from traditional strength training to Olympic weightlifting, from bodyweight and gymnastics skills to body building, and anything in between that helps make you stronger, faster, and better than you were the day before.

CrossFit On-Ramp

The On-Ramp Program is designed to teach the foundational movements of CrossFit, while getting your body a base of strength to create a dynamic, efficient athlete out of everyone. Each class includes movement instruction, strength, mobility, and a WOD (workout of the day). The program occurs on a 4 week cycle, starting at the beginning of each month.

Tuesdays and Thursdays 7:30pm, Saturdays 8:00am- We are currently holding only private sessions for On Ramp.

Tangletown Kids- ages 5-11

Kids come to learn that being active is fun! Tangletown Kids is a broad and general fitness class to help kids gain all-around strength and stamina. Kids come to class to push, pull, jump, balance, lift, throw, learn, problem solve, team build, in their own version of the WOD (workout of the day). The overall goals are to get these kids moving and have fun doing it, learn how to support others in an athletic environment and to give 100% all of the time.

Sundays 11-11:45am with Marc Shriver

MetCon 45

This is a functional fitness class where you will train constantly varied, functional movements at a high intensity for 45 minutes. This class is different than a typical WOD because the focus is on lightweight and bodyweight movements that you can continue to execute well for 45 minutes. And just like like our other CrossFit classes, the workouts are always scalable to the level that works best for you and the intensity you want to work at. 

Mondays at 4:30-5:30 pm with Coach Laurie.

Yoga

We now offer yoga led by certified instructor Veronica Jean Ellingson. In addition to being a high school teacher and coach for the past 21 years, Veronica has also been a lifelong athlete pursuing interests in swimming, mountain biking, backpacking and weightlifting. Veronica understands the needs of athletes and CrossFitters and will focus on restoring and strengthening bodies.

Olympic Weightlifting

Our Olympic Weightlifting course is intended to help individuals improve their technique on each of the snatch, clean, and jerk. Both newer lifters and experienced lifters will benefit from this class as they work on their mobility, isolate positions, and spend dedicated time on the Olympic Lifts. With individualized attention, all lifters can expect to improve their lifts by becoming more proficient.

Open Gym

We offer 3 Open gym sessions per week. These are a great opportunity to work on your fitness outside of regular class times. Practice new skills, dial-in weightlifting technique, do a WOD, or just come and hang out!

Fridays 5-6:30pm, Sundays at 7am and 12pm.

Personal Training

Personal training is a great way to invest in your health. Our coaches and trainers offer guidance and support to help you reach your goals. Whether you are looking for more time to work on strength or mobility goals, or just need additional guidance in improving your fitness, our Coaches are here to help.

Swim WODs

We offer periodic swimming-focused WODs in partnership with I SWIM. Our swim WODs are outdoors in the summer at Lake Harriet and indoors in the winter at the I SWIM pool at 6545 Flying Cloud Drive in Eden Prairie. Each Swim WOD is an unique blend of CrossFit movements with swimming. The group spends time on swimming technique while warming up. The WODs involve your typical CrossFit movements on deck (or on the beach) using a variety of equipment. Swim WODs are for all levels of swimmers as long as you can successfully complete a 25 yard swim-however you can get it done!

Tangletown CrossFit and I SWIM, LLC are offering a discounted membership to those who belong to both. Discount only applies as long as you are paying memberships to both programs. May not be combined with other discounts.
